In an interview with BBC, an Nigerian woman (whose name was not given) who was kidnapped by Boko Haram militants while she was heavily pregnant narrated how she gave birth while in their captivity.The lady, who later escaped, was interviewed at one of the Internally Displaced camps in Adamawa where she is currently staying with her baby daughter.

An Evboriaria Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ikpoba-Okha, Edo State, had remanded a man identified as Austin Okonkwo, 27, in prison custody for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl who has Down Syndrome. A one-count charge was brought against him in court during the hearing of the case which he pleaded not guilty to. According to Vanguard reports, the accused was described with unprintable words when his victim was presented in the court. Okonkwo committed the crime on Saturday, November 29, 2014, police prosecutor, Aigbedion Obakpolor, told the court at the hearing. During the case mention, Chief Magistrate Frank Idiake, observed that rape cases were on the high side and he declined the accused bail application.
